A Simple Guide to Trekking in Jibhi
Less crowded, more peaceful: Serolsar Lake and Raghupur Fort from Jalori Pass

If you want a mountain trip that is less crowded and more peaceful, Jibhi is the perfect spot. Most of the trekking action starts from Jalori Pass, a beautiful spot where it can rain very unexpectedly.

The Serolsar Lake Trek
The Route: Starting from Jalori Pass, this trail takes you to a beautiful lake. It is about 5 km one way.
Time: Even though the path is mostly flat and stays at the same elevation, it will still take you 4 to 7 hours to go and come back.

The Destination: At the end of the trail, you are greeted by the stunning Serolsar Lake and a peaceful local temple right next to it.
The Raghupur Fort Trek
The Route: Also starting from Jalori Pass, this is a shorter walk of about 3 km.
Difficulty: Unlike the lake trail, this trek is a little more elevated and has steep slopes.

The Reward: It is a bit of a climb, but reaching the fort ruins gives you amazing views of the green valley.
Essential Tips for the Trip
Because Jibhi is still being discovered, there are not many touristy food stalls placed at safe distances along these trails. Keep enough food and water in your bag.
The weather at Jalori Pass changes fast. Always keep a raincoat handy because the rain can start without warning.
If you want a real adventure, you do not have to hike back the same day. Some people take their own tents and stay the night under the stars!
